About the Artist
Wallaya stands apart from the more conventional modern art scene in Thailand in her dedication to the purely abstract in her painting. At the same time, her vibrant colouring and dynamic composition reflect the warmth and vitality of the bustling capital city that is her home. Wallaya's abstracts are perhaps best displayed in her series of two or three coordinated canvases, although individual pieces can well stand alone.
